This production is a variety show featuring 23 songs from Big Island artists who could donate their time for this cause. These artists include Sean Robbins, slack-key guitarist recently featured on NPR’s “From the Top;” Yisa Var, B97/B93’s midday diva and local musical theatre star; Gloria Baraquio, local TV personality and producer and musical performer; “Shell Shock” the breakdance crew from Center Stage; The Waimea Consort, a vocal ensemble performing medieval, renaissance, baroque, romantic and 20th century a capella vocal music; Thula Martin, circus artist and contortionist; Center Stage’s Hip Hop demo team; Alexandra Roth, local actor/musician, star of “CATS” and “Rent;” The Acoustic Flowerchild (www.acousticflowerchild.com); Anna Kupcha herself, a broadway veteran and performer in many local productions, most of which were at her favorite theater, the Palace; and more!

Kapi‘olani Children's Miracle Network is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of Hawaii‘s children. Its year-round goal is to raise awareness and funds to support Kapi‘olani Medical Center – Hawaii‘s only children's hospital and high-risk maternity hospital.

In Hawaii, 100% of the money raised for Kapi‘olani Children's Miracle Network stays in Hawaii to help our keiki. Each year, funds raised pay for medical equipment, neighbor-island travel, public education, research, and care for Hawaii‘s uninsured women and children.

The non-profit Kapi‘olani Medical Center is Hawaii‘s only member of the Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit world-wide alliance of premier hospitals for children. Children's Miracle Network selected the hospital because it focuses on pediatric care, provides tertiary level III specialized pediatric care, and serves all children – regardless of ability to pay.

23 Reasons to Love Hawai‘i is Anna Kupcha’s last performance and production on the Big Island and through Theater Arts Conservatory. It is co-produced by the Aspiring Doctors of Hilo, UH-Hilo’s premed club, a group of motivated students who wish to come back to Hawaii and provide medical care after receiving their medical education. Anna, though only 17, has been accepted to medical school and wishes to practice Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Kapi‘olani before she’s 30 after a 4-year MD program and 6+ years of residency.
